A delegation of engineers, headed by Deputy Director of Hong Kong Water Supplies Department NG Mang Tung and Chairman of Civil Division of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers Stephen CHIK Wai-keung, visited IWHR on July 9, 2014 and joined a technical discussion with Vice President Jia Jinsheng and other experts from IWHR on safety monitoring and management of reservoirs and dams.

A report on safety monitoring and management of reservoirs and dams was given from IWHR, and followed by discussions on responsibility division of safety monitoring, evaluation body and qualification, expert team, lifetime projection of hydraulic structures, dredging of reservoirs, water quality and other technical issues.
