EDF visits and signs an MOU

On May 22, 2015, Jean-Francois ASTOLFI, senior vice president of hydro generation and engineering, EDF and vice president of International Hydropower Association (IHA), led a seven-person delegation to IWHR and met with IWHR President Kuang Shangfu and Vice President Jia Jinsheng.

IWHR President Meets IHA President and Executive Director during 2015 World Hydropower Congress

On May 19, during the 2015 World Congress held in Huairou District in the suburban area of Beijing, IWHR President Kuang Shangfu had a meeting with IHA President Ken Adams and Executive Director Richard Taylor, talking about deepening communication and cooperation of the two sides in the future.

The 2015 World Hydropower Congress, co-organized by IWHR and other three Chinese partners, was opened on May 19, 2015 by the Yanqi Lake in Huairou, Beijing. More than 740 participants attended the congress.

Mr. Ou Chin-Der, board chairman of the Foundation for Research & Development of Engineering Sciences & Technologies (Taiwan) and its President Yao Chan-Chun visited IWHR on May 18, 2015, and the two institutions signed an MOU on academic exchange and cooperation. Mr. Ou then presented a report at the in-house Global Vision Forum.

Head of CEDEX's maritime experimentation lab visits IWHR and signs an MOU

Dr. Ramón Gutiérrez Serret, head of CEDEX’s Maritime Experimentation Laboratory visited IWHR on April 21, 2015 and met IWHR President Kuang Shangfu to discuss future cooperation between the two research institutes. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed to promote personnel exchange and research collaboration.

IIHR Director visits IWHR and signs an MOU for future cooperation

Larry Weber, Director of IIHR Hydroscience & Engineering (IIHR) of University of Iowa, visited IWHR on April 21, 2015, met IWHR President Kuang Shangfu, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the purpose of educational, training and research cooperation.
