Research team of the “Survey on the Environmental Status of Basic Resources of Groundwater Drinking Water Sources in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region” conducted a field investigation on typical water sources in Shijiazhuang city, North China’s Hebei province. They mainly investigated the hydro-geological conditions of urban water supply sources in Shijiazhuang city and water supply sources in Jingxing county, as well as the quality, exploitation, protection division, pollution risk and water resource management of water sources. Through the investigation on the basic hydro-geological conditions and environment of underground drinking water sources, the project can evaluate and forecast the safety status of groundwater drinking water sources and protection zones in this region in an all-around, systematic and dynamic way. It aims to establish a resource environment database and information platform that completely serves the management and protection as well as technological innovation of groundwater drinking water sources, and put forward proposals on the management and protection of underground water sources in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. This project is one of the key tasks to guarantee the water safety, a coordinated development goal in this region.
