The Theory and Simulation on Surface Water Flow and Solute Transport in Basin Fertilization Irrigation, an academic monograph written by the National Center for Efficient Irrigation Engineering and Technology Research - Beijing, was published by the Science China Press recently. This monograph has developed the theory and simulation on surface water flow and solute transport in basin fertilization irrigation in a combination of field observations and theoretical analysis, created technology and methods for the simulation on unsteady surface water flow and transport based on the mathematical structure modification of the hydrodynamics equation, and built full coupling models for surface water flow and solute transport in basin fertilization irrigation. It has also conducted the simulation evaluation of the basin spraying, fertilizer application and irrigation performance and the analysis on the optimal combination of technical elements, which has achieved various innovation outcomes.
