Beijing IWHR KHL Co., Ltd. undertook the examination and evaluation of the repair work for the Beijing-Shijiazhuang section of emergency water supply project of the Middle Route of South-to-North Water Transfer Project, inspecting the safety and aging defects of the hydraulic structures, analyzing reasons and providing advice.

The Beijing section, consisting of the inverted siphon project at Yongding River, buried culvert projects at Lugou Bridge (Marco Polo Bridge) and the West Fourth Ring Road, has been on active service for over five years. Due to some reasons including the difference between the real conditions and the designed conditions and influence of the underground projects, the safe running of the project might be affected. An overall and systematic repair and maintenance work hence must be taken to regulate and upgrade some of the management facilities.

The repair and maintenance work has been successfully completed.
