H9000 V4.0 computer monitoring system, developed by Beijing IWHR Technology Co., Ltd. and adopted in the No. 4 unit of Tuokou Hydropower Station in central China’s Hunan Province, is commissioned after a 72-hour test running. All the six generating sets at the station have now been put into commercial operation.
During the installation and debugging of the generator sets, the H9000 V4.0 system played a key role in real-time event recording, curve recording, and statistical analysis of the records. The central control system, developed by BITC for over ten hydropower plants run by Wuling Power Corporation, has realized automatized and modernized management in terms of long-distance central control and unattended operation.
Tuokou Hydropower Station, run by Wuling Power Corporation subordinate to China Power Investment Co., Ltd., is located at the main stream of Yuanjiang River in Hunan Province, consisting of a main dam and an auxiliary dam. The main dam is equipped with two hydroturbine generating sets and is mainly used for eco-discharge and flood discharge, while the auxiliary dam is equipped with four generating sets basically for power generation.
