The Comprehensive Experiment Hall for Engineering Mechanics was completed in 2013 with an investment of 18 million yuan. Its total building area is about 6,400 m²: the dynamic test hall, 1,000 m²; the static test hall, 1,600 m²; the test rooms on F1-3 and the public area, 3800 m².

The hall on F1 is divided into five test areas based on functions: geodynamic test area, geotechnical material test area, rock material test area, concrete mechanical properties test area, and concrete simulation test area. It is equipped with more than 30 sets of large-scale equipment.

Test site on F1

There are more than 30 labs with various functions on the three floors on the side, and a total of more than 200 sets of small and medium-sized instruments. Among them, F1 is mainly used to carry out seepage tests, preparation, processing and maintenance of cement concrete and asphalt concrete samples, durability tests (freeze-thaw, impermeability, erosion), and deformation tests (creep, spontaneous change, dry shrinkage), etc.; F2 is mainly used to carry out physical performance tests for raw materials, freeze-break tests for asphalt materials and concrete, as well as aggregate alkali activity, material thermal, organic material aging, corrosion, and microscopic tests, etc.; and F3 mainly consists of the archives room, the sample room, the metrological certification room, the organic material testing lab, and the structural safety assessment lab.
