The River Environment Experiment Hall is a large-scale experiment hall in China engaged in scientific research on the environmental hydrodynamics, sediment and tides of rivers and lakes, with complete functions and advanced equipment. The main hall of the Experiment Hall is 153m long and 60m wide, covering an area of more than 9,000 m2. The Experiment Hall has a total water supply capacity of 1.3 m3/s, with clean water reservoirs, turbid water reservoirs, and saline water reservoirs built. The Experiment Hall is equipped with advanced test equipment such as push-plate wave generating systems and wave measuring systems, multi-functional environmental test tanks, a controllable temperature and humidity lab, and modular group pump tide generating and controlling systems. In addition, the Lab is also equipped with a batch of internationally advanced measuring instruments such as acoustic doppler velocimetry (ADV), multi-channel particle tracking velocimetry (PTV) and infrared thermal imagers, and has independently developed and introduced a batch of software for numerical calculation and image processing.
