Abstract: Study on the migration mechanism of pollution factor in the soil is normally carried out with soil column test in laboratory, but for the low permeability soil (permeation coefficient less than 10 -5 cm/s), the permeability process in the soil is very slow, and the test process is very long or even unable to complete. The centrifuge model test can simulate not only the gravity field, but also the migration process of pollutants. In this paper, by using LXJ-4-450 g-t centrifuge together with the specially developed device for permeability test, the long-term migration pattern of inert pollution factor Cl - in low permeability saturated clay is studied in the centrifugal model, and the migration pattern of pollution factor Cl - in low permeability saturated clay are analyzed. The results show that simulation test study on pollutant migration in low permeability clay in the centrifugal model is feasible, and greatly improves the test efficiency and reliability.
