Abstract: Offshore wind resources is better than in land. It is very difficult to obtain accurate, long-term, large range and complete wind data by measuring directly. The impact of spatio-temporal characteristics of wind resource offshore would be considered when assessing the offshore wind energy resources. In this paper, the temporal characteristic, the vertical distribution rule and horizontal range were studied and assessed by comparatively analyzing the whole wind data of two offshore anemometer towers and two anemometer towers in tidal flat, which can provide reference for the assessment of offshore wind resources and the construction of offshore wind farm.
