Abstract: Density and percent air voids are two important technical indices of asphalt concrete. This paper has researched the correlation between percent air voids and Marshall compaction times by laboratory Marshall compaction test, and then established a statistical rule. According to the statistical rule, the density and percent air voids of asphalt concrete were statistically counted during the construction of the Baoquan upper reservoir impervious panel project. The paper summarized a correlation between test result in construction and compaction times in laboratory, which can provide a reference for future projects.
Key Words: asphalt concrete, density, percent air voids, compaction, rolling
