Abstract: The measure index of academic journals is a powerful tool for evaluation and analysis of journals, which can objectively reflect the law and development trend of a journal. The conclusions of statistics and analysis on the 27 kinds of measurement indices of the Journal of China Institute of water resources and Hydropower Research from 2006 to 2011 showed that: (1) influence of the journal has been rising yearly, (2) some changes in impact factor indicated that the quality of paper needs further promotion, (3) the self-citation rate is low, so the journal needs editor to guide authors in order to enlarge influence, (4) compared with the measure index of the same specialty journals in core journals, the key measure index is in a good condition and is close to or exceeds the index of some journals in the same field in core journals.
